Accelerando
I'm reading Accelerando by Charlie Stross and wondering what the Datasphere might look like after the Singularity. All those datapoints stretching out to infinity ...

ADIOS
Reseachers have created a new language learning algorithm called ADIOS. It scans through the text of any language and learns the grammar and syntax.

Does Size Matter?
Michael Corbin has an interesting comment on the "size issue" in art. A nice thoughtful piece.
"There's no denying that we live in a society that is obsessed with
appearances. Tall, short, thin, fat, black, white. It doesn't seem to end.
Fortunately, for many of the artists I know, my obsession with all things
"art" has a tendency to give their wallets a bit of a jolt. It's all based
on what I see when I look at their work. Appearances." Link: Does Size Matter?
